The crest was designed for the club by Master Liam Cox (now deceased) from Moate who was a local historian and taught in the old National School, Lower Warren, Baylin.
The lion is taken from the crest of the ancient Gaelic chieftains of the area, the McAuley clan and it represents courage.
The hand was also taken from the McAuley crest and represents victory.
The other insignia on the villa crest is the mount in Mount Temple and the cross in Baylin.
